Grouting & Ground Treatments
By virtue of proximity of marine conditions (in plan and elevation) and the excessive hydraulic conductivity of the native soil and rock stratigraphy (sand and weak, highly fractured rock ground masses), ingress of water and build-up of pore pressures beneath and around construction, and the inherent low density and strength of ground masses, construction on and underground is laden with issues related to excessive water ingress, and weakness that often beg the need to deploy groundwater exclusion and strengthening methods.

Piling & Foundation Contracting
The geographic and geologic conditions of the UAE and Gulf region present unique challenges for construction. The area is characterized by extensive dune environments, proximity to the sea (both horizontally and in terms of elevation), and a recent history of tectonic activity. These factors contribute to the prevalence of loose dune sands, soft tidal sabkha deposits, and fractured rock layers with residual soils and soluble minerals. These materials are typically weak, compressible, and lie near the surface along with high groundwater levels. The near-surface deposits also have high hydraulic conductivity, making it essential for construction projects in the region to incorporate foundation piling, shoring systems, and dewatering processes as standard practice.

Geotechnical Studies
The unique geographic and geologic features of the UAE and Gulf region—marked by extensive dune sands, proximity to the marine environment, and recent tectonic activity—have resulted in predominantly weak, compressible soils. Loose dune sands, soft tidal sabkha deposits, fractured rock layers, and evaporative mineral content create challenging ground conditions, compounded by high groundwater levels near the surface and the high permeability of these materials. Consequently, construction in this area routinely requires foundation piles, shoring systems, and dewatering to ensure stability and durability.
